Creating with clay is my latest passion.
It all began when I got the idea of making ceramic tiles that I could use in creating mosaic designs for table tops and wall hangings.

The Hexes (some call them Mandalas) shown on this page are just samples of my work. Most of them have been sold and are no longer available, however I am always making similar ones. I follow the same general designs but no two of my works are exactly alike.
I start with a 12in diameter galvanized metal tray and insert a painted plywood disc upon which I arrange and attach my hand made tiles, I then grout and seal them. They have a hanger on the reverse side and are suitable for hanging outdoors.

My very first mosaic. I call it a "hex" because it's designed to bring "Good Fortune" and ward off evil similar to the Pennsylvania Dutch Hex Signs that they place on their barns.

All of my mosaic Hexes are 12inches in diameter. I personally make all of the tiles.
The tiles are set in a 1inch deep metal tray with mastic and then grouted and sealed. There is a loop on the back for hanging. They are suitable for outdoor use.

Just one example of a Hummingbird Hex no two are alike. I create each one individually sometimes I butterflies and many different flowers.

One of my many different mushroom hexes.

Swallow tail butterflies.
I do Monarchs too.

Like the hexes the tables shown on this page are only samples of my work. Most of them have been sold and are no longer available, however I do make similar ones. I follow the same general designs but no two of my works are exactly alike.
The round tabletops come with removable legs and may be hung as wall art or used as a tray or trivet.
I start with a commercially made metal table and add my handmade ceramic tiles. there are two different styles of tables one has a wide rim (like the one shown here) the other has no rim.
The tables are suitable for outdoor use.

I am open Thursday - Sunday 12noon - 6ish. on weekends that I am not gone doing art shows. Check below for my schedule.
